Sebastian Rey is a born and raised New Orleanian. He remembers being the first kid on his block to get the Internet, and he’s stayed on top of the technology ever since. He’s been combining activism and technology for over 15 years, building websites and managing social media for a variety of college, local, and regional organizations. He is currently the President of the LGBT Community Center of New Orleans, where he led the transition to a digital information and referral system by building a comprehensive new website. He also serves on the Board of the Patois International Human Rights Film Festival.
Emily Rey has lived in Raleigh, Brooklyn, Amsterdam, and New Orleans. Her academic training is in Applied Psychology, a field that encompasses qualitative and quantitative research, program design and evaluation, grant writing, and other skills. Her passion is implementing these skills using web-based technology to help non-profit organizations and small businesses measure against goals and better fulfill their mission and vision. She is the Director of Communications at the LGBT Community Center of New Orleans and on the Board of Directors for the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana.
Sebastian and Emily Rey live in New Orleans, Louisiana with their dog Lukas and cat Serabi.
